9 Pin No-Tap Tournaments
About
In an effort to generate more prize funds, charity donations, and to offset operational expenses, we'll periodically host a 9 Pin No-Tap Tournament at Waveland Bowl. And 9 Pin No-Tap is just plain fun!
Our event is a handicap event, meaning you can bowl a scratch plus handicap total of well over 300!
Please pre-register and we'll keep you informed.
Current Schedule
Sunday, August 9, 2026
All events start at 8:30am with registration and with bowling beginning at 9:00am.
The first 9 Pin No-Tap tournament is Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Waveland Bowl. Registration is at 9am with bowling starting at 9:30am. The tournament fee is $30.
Side Pots
Optional side pots will be available at each 9 Pin No-Tap Tournament depending on interest and volunteer availability. A portion of each side pot's entry fee goes to help the Chi-Town Classic's fundraising goals.

Participants will earn a share for each 300 game bowled, natural or 9 pin. The jackpot will be split amongst the shares.
300 Game Jackpot

Participants will be randomly placed in a bracket with the top total handicap score moving forward. After the 3rd game we will have a bracket winner.
Brackets

Participants will be randomly matched with another participating bowler and the doubles with the top total handicap score series will place.
Blind Doubles

Participants bowl a strike, real or 9 Pin, in every designated frame across all three games to win the pot. No winner rolls the pot over to the next tournament.
