9 Pin No-Tap Tournament

The first 9 Pin No-Tap tournament is Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Waveland Bowl.  Registration is at 9am with bowling starting at 9:30am.  The tournament fee is $30.

What's Next?

  • Your handicap will be 90% of 230.

    • Example: entering average of 220 is calculated as (230-220)*0.9 = 9

    • Example: entering average of 180 is calculated as (230-180)*0.9 = 45

    • Example: entering average of 100 is calculated as (230-100)*0.9 = 117

  • Your entering average will be:

    • Highest current certified league average of 21 games or more; if doesn't apply, then,

    • Highest certified league average or composite average of 21 games or more from 2023-2024 season shown on bowl.com; if doesn't apply, then,

    • Handicap is 90% of 230.

  • 300 Jackpot

    • One entry per bowler, winner(s) take all.

    Last Person Standing

    • One entry per bowler, winner take all.

    Brackets

    • One (1) entry per every eight (8) entries, which is one (1) entry per Brackets page. A page has eight (8) slots.

    Blind Doubles

    • One (1) entry per every eight (8) entries, which is one (1) entry per Blind Doubles page.  A page has four (4) teams or eight (8) bowlers.

  • The CHIC 9 Pin No-Tap Tournaments are a fundraising effort with proceeds going to the annual Chi-Town Classic Bowling Tournament. As such, CHIC ("The House") will keep a portion of most pots, most of the time.

     

    300 Jackpot

    • Winner(s) take all. Payout dependent on number of paid entries and number of shareholders.

    Last Person Standing

    • As the name implies, winner take all.

    Brackets

    • Each bracket pays out $25 to the winner. There are no additional payouts.

    Blind Doubles

    • Payout is determined by number of entries.  Fewer entries result in a single team payout, more entries result in several places being paid out. Consult the Blind Double Payout Schedule.
